L'EXPRESS - 28 SEPTEMBER TO 04 OCTOBER ISSUE

In this issue, the HR pages once again highlight employment among the top weekly news items. Headlining this third special dossier is the concept of corporate diversity, a guarantee of performance for some, a major challenge for the coming years for others. L'Express magazine gives the floor to a panel of companies, HR professionals and experts working and making tangible progress in the area of corporate diversity. They share their good practice guidelines and advice for overcoming the barriers, in matters of professional gender equality or handling issues of age, handicap, racial discrimination, religious identity or sexual orientation. An opportunity to meet one of our experts, Jean-Pierre Corrigou, who describes the pleasures of being able to transmit his knowledge to the rising generation. Further proof of the relevance of our approach, which three new clients have just recently integrated into their skills management process.

THE FRENCH POPULATION AND RETIREMENT: EXCERPT FROM THE LATEST SURVEY CONDUCTED BY IPSOS FOR THE AXA GROUP

This study shows that the French hold quite a paradoxical view of retirement. On the one hand, 'the retirement I want', built on high individual hopes for a new level of freedom, true personal choices, the pleasures of life. On the other, 'the retirement I get', determined by external constraints that limit personal development and the quality of life expected at retirement age," summarises Yannick Carriou, managing director of Ipsos. As for 'the retirement I want', one of the most salient points is not to remain inactive! Retirement no longer rhymes with professional inactivity in the minds of the French: 35% can imagine themselves working during this period of their lives. Among these, only 16% would work by obligation alone, all others seeing an element of pleasure in it. An opinion largely shared by the experts in our network.
